"Kabira man nirmal bhaya, jaise ganga neer
Pachhe pachhe hari firen, kahat Kabir Kabir"- Kabir (Medieval great saint and poet of India)
Meaning- Since the Mind of Kabir became clean and pure like the water of Holy ganges, the holy spirit, the enlightement is no far to Kabir, in fact it is following and harking Kabir.
Cleanliness of Mind is the shortest way. It is the Tao.
After studying and swimming in the streams of all faiths of practices of all over the world, i have managed to extract the spirit of all in ONE SINGLE WORD. Yes a single word, and that is 'Suvichaar'(Pureness of thoughts).
Some faiths promise Heaven, others salvation, others still a royal re-incarnation, others returns in the same life and all for only the good deeds.
So good deeds are the key!
But as roses can not blossom on a wild desert bush, a mind captivated by desires, ego, hate, envy etc not give berth to a good and pure deed. In fact karma is different for same deed done with different spirits. For instance, giving alms to a beggar with feelings of mindlessness, desire of good karma, ego or compassion will all inherit different good and bad karma. In fact it is the thought , the feeling that matters. Also the mind does not differentiate between a fantasy, a dream and a reality. That is dreaming of a painful event, imagining it, visualizing it is almost as painful for the mind. The same psychosomatic reactions take place. Same chain of Amino acids and proteins take place resulting in same feelings of pain and despair and subjecting the body to same tortures taking place in the mind.
Also every piece of matter, brought into being was first born in the mind. A pin, an aeroplane, a tank, a spacecraft, The monalisa all first took form inside the mind before shaping up on the ground. Same way, all good deeds are also formed many a times first in mind and similarly the bad ones also. A harm to others is done hundred times in the mind and karma is also hundred times. Similar for the good deeds.
Therefore clean up the mind. Halt the thoughts smelling of hate, ego, envy. Let humility, compassion, faith grow and just see the difference inside.
Aren't the meek blessed.
Soon the peace will start prevailing and the guiding light start glowing from the distance, once 'Suvichaar' is adopted.
'Suvichaar' is the key! 'Suvichaar' is the Tao! 'Suvichaar' is the Tao of the Tao!
